Yeosu sits on the southern edge of Korea — island ferries, a night-lit harbour, grilled seafood, and a sea view from almost every hill. Discover Yeosu is an English-language guide to it, built for visitors who want to get around the city without speaking Korean. No account, no sign-up, no paywall. Open it and everything is there. EXPLORE Browse what to see by category — activities, nature, history, museums and parks — or open the Islands section for the ferry-reachable ones. Every place carries photos, a short English write-up, its neighbourhood, and how far away it is from you. FOOD & STAY Restaurants, cafes and bars, and places to sleep. Each listing shows a live open/closed status that accounts for Korean public holidays, so you read "Open · closes 9PM" or "Closed today" before you walk over — along with the neighbourhood and the distance from where you are standing. COLLECTIONS Curated collections such as Island Hopping, Relax & Refresh and Seafood Crawl group places by mood. TRAVEL TOOLS Translator — two-way English to Korean and back, with a Speak button for talking into the microphone and quick phrases for the situations you will actually hit. Transit — how the city bus, taxis, the airport, Yeosu-Expo Station, the intercity bus terminal, the coastal ferry terminal and the island ferries work, written for someone doing it for the first time. Bank & Currency — which branches handle foreign exchange. Medication — hospitals sorted by department, plus pharmacies and veterinary clinics with their hours, for the day a trip goes wrong. MAP & DIRECTIONS A live map of everything in the guide, filterable by category, with your own position on it. Tap a place for directions and choose walking or public transport; each option shows the travel time and the distance, such as "5 min · 426 m". SEARCH & MY LIST Search every place, dish and article at once. Save anything that looks good to My List and it stays there for the whole trip. READ Articles and tips written for visitors — a perfect 24 hours in Yeosu, where to catch the sunset, what to order when the menu has no English — each with a reading time. GOOD TO KNOW The interface is in English throughout. Content updates over the air, so revised hours, new places and seasonal events arrive without an app update. Location is optional and used only to show distances and directions. The microphone is used only while you hold the translator's Speak button. An internet connection is required.
