The viewer grew a Binary Lab. Open a Mach-O, ELF, PE or DOS executable with F3 and you get a navigator of functions, imports, sections and strings (⌘0), Go to Anything (⌘P), a typed inspector (⌘B), the parsed header (⌘I), cross-references, basic blocks with a control-flow graph, and an entropy map of the whole file that shows where the packed parts are. Bytes can be edited in place and saved as a patched copy — the original is never touched — and the names, comments and marks you add are kept across sessions. Two executables in the two panes compare structurally, function by function, ignoring what a relink moves. A compressed payload under the cursor (zlib, gzip, installer blocks) extracts with ⌘E. And a Windows installer is now an archive: press Enter on an Inno Setup .exe — the kind that ships with DOS-era game re-releases — and NorthPane lists what is inside, so the files copy straight out to the Mac without booting Windows. Every extracted file is checked against the digest the installer itself carries. Also: the panes work in Downloads, Pictures, Music and Movies before any folder is granted, the viewer opens files up to 64 MB, and larger files on the internal disk open as a read-only hex view.

Remote connections now survive sleep: a dropped SFTP or FTP session signs itself back in and the interrupted command is retried, so there is no more manual reconnect after opening the lid. The editor grew up: syntax highlighting for 43 languages (GDScript, Godot scenes and Godot shaders included), caret scrolling that moves line by line, and Enter that keeps your indentation — one level deeper after a colon in Python and GDScript. NorthPane now speaks 16 languages, from French and Japanese to both Chinese scripts.
