Bookybara makes illustrated stories in which your child is the hero.
All it takes is one sentence — your own idea, like "a dragon who bakes cookies", or one of the ready-made premises. Minutes later a brand new story appears on their shelf: their name in it, written for their age and reading level, every page illustrated.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Add your child's name and birth year, and pick them a buddy.
2. Choose a ready-made idea or write your own in one sentence.
3. Wait while it is written. Leave the app if you like — it will be waiting on the shelf.
STORIES BUILT AROUND YOUR CHILD
• Your child is always the hero. Add a companion, a setting, and a lesson you would like the story to carry.
• Choose the length: short (4 pages, ~4 minutes) or a little longer (6 pages, ~6 minutes).
• Choose the language of the story: English, Turkish or Spanish.
• Every page gets its own illustration, plus a cover.
DON'T LIKE IT? CHANGE IT
Any finished story can be rewritten with one tap: "make it sillier", "calmer for bedtime", "more adventure", "shorter", "happier ending" — or in your own words.
The old version stays readable while the new one is being written.
THE READING SCREEN
• Large, comfortable text with a full illustration on every page.
• "Hide the text" leaves just the picture to look at.
• Pick up exactly where you left off — the app remembers the page.
LIBRARY
Every story you make stays in the library. The Explore tab holds stories shared with everyone; add any of them to your child's shelf and read it right away.
MORE THAN ONE CHILD
Give each child their own profile. Stories, reading progress and stats stay separate, and you switch between them from the name badge at the top.
PARENTS' CORNER
Behind the parental gate you can see how the reading is going: minutes read this week, how they fall across the days, the current daily streak, and how many
stories are on the shelf.
PARENTAL GATE
Settings, subscription and profiles sit behind a simple question only a grown-up can answer. No accidental taps.
PRIVACY AND YOUR DATA
• Start without signing up. No name, email or password is needed to make your first story.
• Linking an email is optional, and only so you can restore your library on a new phone.
• See every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out.
• Download everything we hold about you as a file, or delete your account and all stories permanently.
• There are no ads in the app.
