Pixtore: Home Photo Backup
Photos on your own hard drive
Free
Store your photos and videos on your own hard drive at home. Direct transfer. No cloud. Everything stays private.
Pixtore is a photo gallery that keeps a copy of your photos and videos on a hard drive at home. Not in a cloud. Not on someone else's server. At your place.
HOW IT WORKS
Connect Pixtore to a storage drive on your home Wi-Fi once. From then on, new photos and videos are copied there automatically. The transfer goes directly from your iPhone to your drive — nothing passes through us or anyone else.
YOUR PHOTOS STAY YOURS
• No account, no sign-up
• We never see your photos — they don't leave your home network
• Optional encryption: even someone with access to the drive can't open your files
• Every copy is verified after transfer, so you know it arrived intact
FREE UP SPACE ON YOUR IPHONE
Once photos are safely on your drive, you can remove them from the phone. They stay visible in the gallery, and you can bring any of them back with a tap.
A FULL GALLERY
• Browse your whole library, albums and folders
• Live Photos, videos, slow motion, bursts
• Favorites, hidden photos, batch actions
• See where and when a photo was taken
• Search by what's in the picture: "dog", "beach", "screenshot", "Berlin 2022". Search runs on your iPhone
MADE FOR LARGE LIBRARIES
• Speed Up Backup: plug in your iPhone and copy thousands of photos in one go
• Back up to more than one drive
• Interrupted transfers continue where they stopped
• If a file on the drive gets damaged, Pixtore notices and repairs it
WHAT YOU NEED
A network drive (NAS), a USB drive plugged into your router or computer — anything on your home Wi-Fi. Pixtore finds it for you.
