Vilko is an AI cook built around that problem. You tell it who eats with you and what's in your fridge; it gives you one dish, then branches it at a single step so each person gets their own plate. Dairy-free for the child with an allergy. Extra spicy for the one who likes heat. Same pan, same dinner, no separate cooking.
WHAT IT DOES
Branching recipes. The recipe splits into lanes at the step where it matters, with its own instructions for each person. No more cooking twice.
Cooks from your fridge. Add what you have — with amounts, if you like. Vilko builds recipes around it and puts what's about to spoil first.
A fridge that keeps count. After you cook, it subtracts what the recipe used and tells you what's left. Found something at home that was on your shopping list? One tap moves it into the fridge with its amount.
Allergies entered once. Add allergies, dislikes and favourites to each family profile. Every recipe after that remembers them.
Recipes from anywhere. Paste a link, send a screenshot, or share a cooking video — Vilko reads the recipe even when it's only spoken out loud, scales it to the number of servings you need, and tells you what's missing at home.
Feasts. Planning for eight? Vilko builds the menu, works out how much to cook, finds the prep you can do once for several dishes, and gives you one combined shopping list.
Cook step by step. One step at a time, in large type, with heat and timings — and a note about what to do while something simmers. Stuck? Ask a question about the recipe and get an answer without leaving the kitchen.
No account needed. Everything works on your phone. Sign in only if you want your fridge and recipes on more than one device — and you can delete the account from inside the app.
A note on allergies: recipes are generated by a language model and can be wrong. Always read the ingredients yourself before you cook.
