Pixelate: Blur Face & Mosaic

Censor Photos, ID & Documents

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Nothing you open here ever leaves your iPhone. No server, no upload, no account, no sign-in. Face detection and every effect run entirely on your device, so it works in airplane mode. And what you hide stays hidden. On export, the effect is written permanently into the pixels of the new file. The covered area is gone from the image data — it cannot be peeled back, sharpened or recovered by anyone who receives the photo. ONE TAP, EVERY FACE COVERED On-device face detection finds the faces in your photo. Tap once and all of them are covered. Tap any face to leave it visible — keep yourself in the shot and cover the strangers behind you. COVER ANYTHING, NOT JUST FACES • Freehand brush with adjustable size • Rectangle and oval selection • Magnifier and zoom for precise edges • Undo, redo and reset at any point Built for the second before you hit send: the plate in a car listing, house numbers and street signs, ID cards, bank cards, an address on a letter, documents, tattoos, chat screenshots and children's faces. FIVE WAYS TO COVER • Mosaic — the classic, and the one people expect • Pixelate • Gaussian blur • Solid fill • Emoji and stickers Mix them in a single photo: mosaic on a face, a solid block over a card number. Effect strength is adjustable, so you can keep it subtle or make it absolute. YOUR OWN WATERMARK Add your own text or your own logo. Tile it diagonally across the whole photo, or place it in the center or a corner. Drag, scale, rotate and set the opacity. METADATA REMOVED EXIF and GPS data are stripped on export by default. Covering a face does little if the file still carries the exact coordinates of your home. EXPORT Save straight to Photos or send it through the share sheet. Optionally export a smaller copy. Photos only — there is no video editing. WHAT'S FREE Free forever, with no time limit: every effect, face detection, all selection tools, unlimited redacted areas, full resolution, EXIF and GPS removal — and three exports a day. Free exports carry a small Pixelate mark in the corner. PIXELATE PRO • Unlimited exports • PDF — open and export, any number of pages • Batch: redact and export several files at once • Your own mark on the document — text or logo • Exports and shares without the Pixelate mark Pixelate Pro is available as a one-time purchase or as an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of that period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings.
