Most calorie apps give you a number on day one and never check whether it was right. Teller checks every week. YOUR TARGET, MEASURED Teller starts with the same estimate everyone else uses. Then it reads the two things you already do, what you log and what the scale says, and works backward to what you actually burn. Every seven days it compares that measurement with your current target and moves it, but only when the measurement is more reliable than the estimate it would replace. You get the new number, the reason it changed, and the arithmetic behind it. LOGGING THAT TAKES SECONDS Photograph the plate. Scan a barcode. Photograph a nutrition label. Search. Or tap what you usually eat at this hour, where the calorie count itself is the button. Every one of those has a manual fallback, so nothing dead-ends. A DAY YOU CAN READ AT A GLANCE One ring for the calories you have left. Three bars for protein, carbs and fat. Four meals. That is the whole screen. NOTHING TO BREAK No streak counter. No red numbers. No warning for going over. Miss a week and nothing resets: the measurement pauses and picks up where it left off. Mark a day as untracked and it will not count against you. HOW THE MEASUREMENT WORKS Teller runs a two-state Kalman filter across your logged intake and your weigh-ins, separating day-to-day scale noise from real change in body mass. Energy balance gives expenditure, and the filter also gives the uncertainty around it, drawn on the chart as a band that narrows as Teller learns. Teller will not move your target until that uncertainty is smaller than the error in the formula it replaces. Weekly changes are capped so one odd week cannot swing you, and deficits and surpluses are held inside a healthy range with a hard calorie floor. Teller is a food diary, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor before making significant changes to your diet. WHAT TELLER DOES NOT HAVE No exercise log, no water tracking, no community feed, no micronutrient panel. Your target already reflects how much you move, because it is measured from your own data rather than added up from estimates. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account needed to start. Photos are sent for recognition and are never stored. Everything runs on servers in the EU.
