SafeLaunch keeps curious kids, coworkers, and house guests out of the apps you'd rather keep private — Messages, Mail, Photos, browsers, games, anything. The moment a protected app is opened, an opaque lock screen covers it and SafeLaunch asks for authentication. Unlock with a touch, and the app appears exactly as you left it.
NOTHING IS EVER CLOSED
SafeLaunch hides locked apps — it never quits them. Documents, tabs, and unsaved work are always exactly where you left them after you unlock.

• Apps re-lock automatically on sleep, screen lock, screensaver, and after an idle time you choose
• Emergency "Lock All" from the menu bar or with Cmd+Option+L — from anywhere

SERIOUS ABOUT CREDENTIALS
• Fingerprint unlock, a 4–8 digit PIN, or your master password

• A recovery code in case you forget your password
• Credentials are hashed (PBKDF2, 310,000 iterations) and stored only in your Mac's Keychain — never in plain text, never anywhere else
