Solar Potential — see if a spot will charge your batteries before you commit. Offline, season- and elevation-aware. • Richer imports — altitude now comes across from your CSV. • Fixes and polish.

Introducing Community — Boondockr's biggest update. • Follow other travellers and see the campsites they've shared, right on your map. • Share your own spots with the people who follow you — but only after you've moved on. Boondockr never reveals where you are right now. • Tap any shared spot to save it to your private journal. Your journal is still 100% private and offline. Community is completely opt-in — sign in with Apple only if you want to join. Report and block tools keep it respectful.

Boondockr now speaks your language. The whole app is available in Spanish and Portuguese — map, journal, packing and all. Plus fixes and polish.

Now for camping everywhere. Campsites worldwide: turn on the new Campsites layer to discover spots near you — anywhere on Earth — from OpenStreetMap, cached so they still show offline. Tap any pin to save it straight to your private journal. Made for the world: we've softened the US-specific wording, and the US public-land, forest-road and wildfire layers are now a toggle in Settings (on in the US, off elsewhere — flip it anytime). Your own finds still stay private — discovery gets you there, your journal keeps them. Plus fixes and polish.

Built for fire season. Wildfire layer: flip on "Wildfires" on the map to see current fire perimeters from the national interagency feed (NIFC) — refreshed when you have signal, then cached so they still show offline. Always check official sources too; conditions change fast. Weather & packing: open any located spot for a 3-day forecast and a packing checklist that flags gear for the conditions — a waterproof shell when rain's likely, a warmer bag for freezing nights, shade and extra water for the heat. Plus fixes and polish.

Built for bigger rigs and longer hauls. Rig fit: note max rig length, clearance and turnaround room on a spot — so a saved pull-off reads as safely reusable for your van or big rig. Utility stops: quick-pin your own fresh-water fills and dump stations right on the map. Your private list, part of tank planning around a 14-day stay. Fully offline overlays: the forest-road (MVUM) and public-land layers now download with "Download this area", so they work with zero signal. Plus fixes and polish.

Know where you can camp — and bring every pin with you. Forest Roads: the USFS Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) now overlays your map, so you can see which numbered routes are legal to drive and camp along. Works offline once you've viewed an area. GPX import: bring saved pins from onX, Gaia, Garmin or any GPS app — imported and de-duplicated automatically, alongside the CSV and Google Maps import you already had. Auto-arrival (Pro): Boondockr can notice when you settle in and offer to start your 14-day countdown. You always confirm — so scouting, or just passing through, never starts the clock. Plus fixes and polish.

New: the activity journal. Log the hikes, rides, paddles, swims and surfs you got up to from a spot — pick the type, add distance, time and a rating. Private and offline, like everything else. Also new: a campfire note on each spot, with a quick link to check current fire restrictions before you light one. Plus fixes and polish.

- Bring your Google Maps pins. Import a My Maps layer or your Takeout Saved Places (CSV or JSON) and every pin becomes a proper spot. - Directions your way: open a spot in Apple Maps or Google Maps. - Wish You Were Here: send a postcard of a stay. Your photo, the dates, the stars, a stamp and postmark. The location stays secret unless you choose to show it. - Small fixes and polish. Happy boondocking.

- Boondockr may now ask for a quick App Store rating after you check out of a good stay. One tap, no interruptions, and it helps other campers find the app. - Small fixes and polish. Happy boondocking.

- Check out of a spot: tap "Moving on" to stop the stay counter. The spot becomes a memory: "Stayed 13 days." Tap "Still here" if you're not done. - Forgot to check out while packing a wet camp? Edit the spot and set the Moved on date after the fact. - The day counter now reads the same everywhere. "Day 17 of 14" tells you exactly how far past the limit you are. - The spot detail map now shows your immediate area at street level. - Small fixes and polish. Happy boondocking.
