StateSighter turns the oldest road trip game there is into something you can actually keep score in.
Spot a license plate from another state, tap it, and watch your map fill in. Every trip is its own board, and every plate you have ever found is kept in your lifetime collection.
HANDS-FREE WHILE YOU DRIVE
The driver should not be tapping a phone. Say "Hey Siri, add Ohio to StateSighter" and it is logged — no unlocking, no opening the app. It works through CarPlay, and Siri tells you your progress as it goes.
SCORING THAT REWARDS THE RARE FIND
Every plate is worth ten points plus one for every twenty-five miles it travelled from home. Ohio in Ohio is worth ten. Hawaii in Maine is worth two hundred and fourteen. The far-from-home plate is the one worth shouting about.
THE WHOLE MAP
Fifty states plus DC, or add the thirteen Canadian provinces and territories for a longer hunt. Tap any plate to see that place's capital, motto, bird, and
a few facts worth arguing about.
REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE
Each sighting records where you spotted it, so months later you can look back at the route and see exactly where Alaska turned up.
TRIVIA FOR THE CAR
Switch it on and Siri asks a question after each plate — the state bird, what somewhere is famous for. It does not tell you the answer. That is the point:
let the car argue about it, then ask for the answer when you give up.

PRIVACY
Your trips stay on your device and sync only to your own iCloud. Location is read when you claim a plate and is never sent anywhere. Anonymous statistics
are strictly opt-in and never include your location.
