START WITH FREE PRACTICE - Work through arrival, circuit and departure broadcasts at uncontrolled aerodromes. - Learn the ICAO phonetic alphabet with spoken examples. - Practise phonetic words and callsigns at your own pace, or try a timed test. UNDERSTAND WHAT TO IMPROVE - See which call elements you included and which need another try. - Compare your response with a model call. - Use hints and assisted practice while you build confidence. - Revisit weaker calls in focused sessions or work through the full set. BUILD A PRACTICE HABIT - Follow your activity, accuracy, streaks and common errors in Stats. - Set an optional daily practice reminder. - Sync your practice history across your signed-in devices. - Keep practising with bundled free lessons and downloaded content while offline after signing in. GO FURTHER WITH READBACK PLUS Readback Plus is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks FISCOM radio scenarios, Standard Words and Airspace Flashcards. There is no subscription. Uncontrolled Aerodromes and Phonetics are free. SPEAK OR TYPE Spoken practice uses on-device speech recognition when a supported language model is available. Your practice audio, transcripts and typed answers are not uploaded. Typed practice is always available, and app analytics are optional. A Readback account is required. Internet access is needed to sign in, sync progress, make or restore purchases, and download content. Spoken practice may need an initial system language download. Readback is a learning aid for New Zealand aviation phraseology. It does not replace a qualified flight instructor, current CAA or AIP information, or pilot judgement. Do not use it for in-flight or operational decisions.
