Archery Scoring App
Only for iPhone
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
The digital scoring log for archers: capture hits, track your training progress, and share with your coach – all locally on your device, no cloud.
BSB Score is the digital scoring log for archers – for freely configurable Special Formats as well as competitions under World Archery rules (WA Outdoor, WA Indoor).
RECORDING HITS – TWO WAYS
- Shot Group: capture hits by tapping the target face, with a loupe for precise placement
- Score Entry: pure score entry without the target face
- Target faces per World Archery standard (10 rings), triple spot, and 80 cm spot face
- The X ring is detected automatically and counted separately
- The screen stays awake while recording
- Incomplete WA units can be resumed in History at any time, right where they left off
DOCUMENT TRAINING/COMPETITION AND LOCATION
- Mark a unit as Training or Competition and assign it a training/competition location
- Manage locations with name, full address, and coordinates, including a map preview
DOCUMENT CONDITIONS
- Optional section right in the recording screen: Physical, Concentration, Light, Wind, Weather as quick, tappable tags
FOR COACHES: MANAGE ATHLETES
- Switchable role Athlete ↔ Coach
- Before every recording, choose who it's for
- Athlete list with name, club, and birth year
SHARING AND IMPORTING BETWEEN ATHLETE AND COACH
- Share a single unit directly as a file (e.g. via AirDrop)
- Automatically detects if a shared person already exists in your own athlete list
- If an import contains unknown people or locations, the app specifically asks: create new, or assign to an already existing person/location
ANALYSIS
- Compact key figures, shot group with a grouping circle and an experimental density area
- Progress over time and training volume as charts with a full-screen detail view
- Fatigue analysis, recovery after mistakes, XY spread analysis
- Nine individually toggleable filters, fixable to a set value in Settings
- Multi-page PDF report with every chart
BUILT-IN MANUAL
- Complete user manual right inside the app, always in the currently selected language
All data stays exclusively on the device – no cloud, no user account, no ads. Bilingual: German and English.
more Version 1.7.8 brings two practical improvements for everyday use of the app.
NEW: RESUME INCOMPLETE UNITS
- For a WA unit (outdoor or indoor) where not all planned arrows have been shot yet, a "Resume Unit" button now appears in History
- Continues recording exactly where that unit left off – newly saved ends keep counting toward it instead of starting a new unit
- Useful e.g. after "Cancel and keep data" partway through a unit
NEW: IMPORT ASKS ABOUT UNKNOWN PEOPLE AND LOCATIONS
- If an imported file contains a person or location not yet known, the app now specifically asks
- For each unknown person or location, you can choose: create it as new, or assign it to an already existing person or location instead
- Prevents duplicate or inconsistent entries when exchanging data between coach and athletes
We recommend this update to all users.

Version 1.7.7 brings a new way to document the location and type of every unit, plus a more flexible filter system in Analysis.
NEW: TRAINING/COMPETITION AND LOCATION
- New "Unit Type / Location" section in recording (changeable afterwards in History too): mark Training or Competition, assign a training/competition location
- Manage locations with name, full address, and coordinates in Settings, including a map preview (zoomable and pannable, map/satellite toggle)
- Three club locations are automatically pre-filled on first install or when first loading this update (if the club matches), but freely editable and deletable
- Visible in the analysis of a single unit and in the PDF report (including full address and a map snippet)
- Two new filters in Analysis: "Unit Type" and "Location"
NEW: EXPANDED PROFILE
- "My Info" is now called "Profile", birth year now sits right after last name
- New "Competing Nation" field (defaults to Germany, changeable from a complete country list) – serves as a suggestion for the country when creating a new location
NEW: TOGGLE ANALYSIS FILTERS
- The Settings tab "Season" is now called "Presets" and adds a new block: each of the nine Analysis filters can be individually turned off
- Disabled filters no longer appear in Analysis, but still apply using "All" or a fixed value you choose
- A hint in Analysis shows which filters are fixed
IMPROVED: MAP RENDERING IN PDF EXPORT
- Map snippets in the PDF report now render correctly as an image (previously sometimes solid-colored)
We recommend this update to all users.
1.7.7 Sep 7
Version 1.7.6 brings smaller but noticeable improvements around recording hits.
NEW: SCREEN STAYS AWAKE
- During recording, as well as when viewing or editing a single end, the screen no longer automatically locks
- Useful while aiming, when looking at the display for a while without touching it
- Once the respective view is left, normal device behavior applies again
NEW: GROUPING CIRCLE/DENSITY AREA IN THE END DETAIL VIEW
- With multiple hits in the same end, can be shown/hidden individually
- The app remembers the last-used setting for next time
- By default, only the grouping circle is active
NEW (TEST): PREVIOUS/NEXT END IN THE DETAIL VIEW
- Two new buttons at the bottom of the end detail view to quickly browse through the ends already recorded for the same unit
- Edit mode is preserved when switching to the previous/next end
IMPROVED: CANCEL DIALOG WHILE RECORDING
- The "Continue recording" button in the cancel dialog now appears reliably on all devices
We recommend this update to all users.
1.7.6 Sep 7
Version 1.7.5 brings a new way to document and analyze the circumstances of every training unit, plus a built-in manual and several noticeable improvements.
NEW: CONDITIONS
- New, collapsed-by-default section in recording: capture physical condition, concentration, light, wind, and weather conditions as tags
- Multi-select by tapping, belongs to the whole unit, changeable afterwards in History at any time
- Visible in the analysis of a single unit right next to the shot group
- New filter in Analysis: filter by one or more conditions (e.g. all units with "Gusty" or "Tired")
- Also appears in the PDF report
NEW: BUILT-IN MANUAL
- Complete user manual now available right inside the app (book icon on the "More" page), in the currently selected language
NEW: TRAINING VOLUME (TEST)
- Shows the number of arrows shot over a selectable period (current/last month, this/last year)
- Tappable for a full-screen detail view with a smoothed trend line
REWORKED: RECORDING LOUPE
- Fundamentally more robust: reliably stays positioned above your finger, shifts smoothly toward the screen center near the edges
- Turns entirely white on a clear miss
- Limit on how far a hit can be dragged beyond the target face
IMPROVED: ATHLETE MANAGEMENT AND IMPORT
- Now automatically detects when an imported person already exists (under a different internal ID) in your own athlete list – prevents duplicate entries
- When removing an athlete, choose to remove the profile only or also delete all their recorded data
- Fixed import detection: files with an embedded person (from the sharing feature) were sometimes incorrectly interpreted as CSV via the general data management import
IMPROVED: ANALYSIS
- Progress and training volume charts now show a magnifying glass icon as a hint that tapping opens a detail view
- The trend line in the detail view is now guaranteed to match the direction shown on the overview card
- A data reset now also correctly clears all analysis filters
We recommend this update to all users.

- Clearly visible crosshair on any ring background

1.6 Aug 17
Version 1.5 makes the analysis view significantly more detailed and introduces rule-compliant distance/target size restrictions:
NEW "DEDICATED" MODE
- In Analysis, you can now pinpoint a single session (year → month → day → unit) instead of only automatically getting the most recent one
- Unlocks three new detail analyses:
– Fatigue analysis: shows whether performance drops off or improves over the course of the competition
– Recovery after mistakes: how reliably a weak arrow is followed by a strong one
– X/Y analysis: horizontal/vertical spread and offset of the hit group from the target center
- The scoresheet for the selected session is displayed right alongside it
RECORDING
- Distance and target face size are now automatically restricted to the actual rule-compliant values depending on the mode (e.g. WA Indoor only allows 15/18 m)
- New target face size: 80-Spot (80 cm, 6 rings)
ANALYSIS
- All filter rows now have clear labels and a more compact layout
- Added a calendar-year filter alongside the existing sport-year filter
- Results can now be shared as a multi-page A4 PDF instead of a single image
- The X-ring can optionally be evaluated separately in the hit distribution
HISTORY
- Colored divider lines now more clearly show where one recording ends and the next begins
Plus numerous smaller improvements and bug fixes to display and bilingual support.
1.5 Aug 14
Version 1.4 brings major upgrades to Analysis and History:
ANALYSIS
- Hit distribution now also shown as an interactive pie chart (tap a segment for name, count, and share details)
- Shot group images are now zoomable (two-finger drag to pan, so one finger still scrolls the screen normally)
- New filter by sport year (tied to your club's season start) and by calendar year
- New filter rows for distance and target face size, remembers your last choice
- Grouping circle in the shot group view can be toggled on/off and now only considers actual scoring hits (misses no longer skew the grouping analysis)
HISTORY
- Individual ends can now be corrected directly if a hit was documented incorrectly
- Deleting an end now asks for confirmation first
- Shot group images are zoomable here too
RECORDING
- New overview: all already-saved ends of the current session at a glance, including sum and average
- "Free Training" mode is now called "Special Formats"
SCORESHEET
- Both rounds now get their own, correctly separated subtotals
- Tens, nines, and X are counted separately and correctly (an X is no longer double-counted)
- Larger, more readable text
MORE (formerly Info)
- You can now enter your own name and club name, which then automatically appear on the scoresheet
- Season start is now configurable (determines when the sport year begins)
Plus numerous smaller improvements to bilingual support and display polish.
