Category and year filters now share the same flexible multi-selection behavior, and category controls use solid colors that match their map markers throughout Filter, Add, Edit and Timeline. Tap any marker on the live map to see its place, number of nights and most recent night. Plane and Ship return journeys are grouped with the outward route regardless of direction. Transport nights remain excluded from city and country statistics, while their route details continue to be included in CSV export.

NightPin now has a fresh Daybreak Postcard design and a simpler map, with one fixed-size color-coded dot for each place. Timeline is the prominent center button and is now the single place to edit a night's date, location or category, or delete a record. The world map PDF uses the same clean dot style and includes country and city statistics. Navigation, filters and category selection have also been refined.

This update improves automatic overnight capture reliability, especially after Airplane Mode, overnight suspension or while the iPhone is locked. NightPin now preserves the pending night locally and finalizes it whenever iOS next wakes or opens the app. It also restores the familiar original NightPin icon.

NightPin now welcomes new users with a clearer introduction to automatic, private night capture. Manual pins can be added by searching for a city, address or place. Returning to the same location on another date is now recorded as an additional overnight stay, while duplicate entries for the same night are prevented.
