Bring Back Red
AI underwater color correction
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your whole dive, restored. AI finds the dive. Correct photos, Live Photos and verified 8K HDR video on your iPhone.
Your whole dive, restored.
Bring Back Red is AI underwater color correction for the photos, Live Photos and video you bring home from scuba diving, snorkeling, freediving or an action camera. It measures what the water took from each shot and restores natural color without repainting the scene.
AI finds your dives on your iPhone, so you can restore the whole set at once. Ready and already-balanced shots stay out of the way. Only exceptions ask for your decision.
Preview photos and video, adjust Intensity when you want to, then export a corrected copy. Originals stay untouched. Supported 8K HDR video keeps its resolution, frame rate, audio and HDR intent, and every output is reopened and checked before Bring Back Red calls it finished.
It takes what your camera writes: RAW and ProRAW from a housing, ProRes and Apple Log from an iPhone Pro, Dolby Vision and HDR video, and the everyday JPEG and HEIC.
Your photos are never uploaded. It runs on your phone, on the boat, with no signal.
AI that measures, never invents. Your dive is corrected, never repainted.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Play corrected video with sound directly in the editor. The clip loops inside your trim, and opening Adjust or Export no longer interrupts it.
- Tap a filename to see its format, dimensions, file size, capture details, and camera metadata.
- About now lets you buy me a coffee, if the app saved you an evening.
- Intensity now changes only the automatic correction: what you set in Adjust and Pro stays where you put it.
- See which media you have already corrected directly in Gallery, without switching to a separate Library screen.
- A copy you exported no longer appears in the grid as a new, uncorrected photo.
- Color reports now ask what looks wrong and attach the best available version of the photo, including a resized copy when the original is too large.
- A dive that mixes photos and videos now offers the full export options, including format, destination and location, instead of only the quick export.
- A running batch now names the file it is on and what it is doing with it, instead of one unlabelled progress line.
- Items you have already been through in a dive are marked as edited, and reopening a clip returns to the settings you left it at rather than to Auto.
- If the final save of a video to Photos or Files is interrupted, try it again without reprocessing the video.
- A corrected photo or video now opens the way you left it, at the intensity you set, instead of being analyzed all over again.
- The first edit after opening a photo can now be undone.
- A video you reviewed in a dive now opens ready to export, instead of being analyzed a second time.
- A photo you corrected now carries its mark on the Dives tab too, not only in the full library.
- Stopping a batch export now stops it, instead of letting items already in flight carry the queue on.
- A video exported from a dive now carries the corrected mark, the same as a photo does.
