Frost Edge Add decorative frosted edges directly from the 3D viewport. Select individual edges or use symmetry to quickly select a group of related edges, adjust the frost width, and let GemSim automatically generate the required frost tiers. You can frost edges on the crown, pavilion, or girdle. Generated frost tiers remain fully editable and are supported by realistic rendering, window checking, and printable cutting diagrams. Fractional Indexes GemSim now supports fractional index values, providing greater precision for advanced faceting designs. Fractional indexes are particularly useful for Frost Edge, where the orientation of an existing edge may fall between standard whole-number index positions. User Accounts & Cloud Storage You can now create a GemSim account and save your designs to the cloud. Cloud designs can be accessed across your devices, while the existing local Save and Open workflow remains available without signing in. Each account can currently store up to 100 cloud designs. Flexible Design Sharing Share a cloud design using a public link or directly with specific registered GemSim users. You control the access level for each shared design: • View Only — Recipients can view and explore the design without modifying it. • View + Copy — Recipients can make their own copy and edit it independently. Direct sharing uses unique GemSim user handles, so you don’t need to exchange email addresses. Public sharing links can also be regenerated whenever you want to invalidate an old link.
