Build class sets by tempo, lock a whole playlist to one BPM, and slow any song to drill a section without changing the pitch. Cadence is a music player built around one thing most players ignore: tempo. Other speed-changer apps only let you nudge a song by a vague percentage. Cadence works in real beats per minute. Set a track to an exact BPM and see at a glance which songs already sit at the same speed — so you can line up a whole set at the pace you want. For anyone who dances, teaches, or practices to music, that's a different kind of control. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Work in real BPM, not percentages. Every track carries its actual tempo, so "128 BPM" tells you something useful and you can match songs by speed. - Set the tempo your way. Tap along with the beat to set a song's original BPM, or let Cadence detect it automatically. - Change speed on your own tracks with the pitch kept natural. Import local audio and slow it down to drill a tough passage, then bring it back up to tempo as you improve — no chipmunk vocals. - Build playlists and sets. Group tracks for a class, a practice session, or a social, and sort by tempo to sequence songs by speed. - Share a set. Send a playlist to another dancer and their Cadence imports it with every tempo — original and preferred — intact. - Bring your own music. Add songs from your Apple Music library (an Apple Music subscription is required to play catalog tracks), or import audio files straight from your device.
