Version 1.1 is a big update, and everything in it runs on your iPhone. SPEAKER LABELS • Speaker labels show who said what. Tap Speakers on a finished transcript and each turn gets a coloured label, with up to 8 voices told apart. You can rename a speaker, move a passage to another speaker or add one, and a recording resumed after an interruption is labelled as one. • They are available on iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 and newer. The first run takes about a minute longer while the model gets ready. CLEANER TEXT • Remove filler words is a new switch in Settings, off until you turn it on. With it on, the ums, uhs and verbal tics leave new and existing transcripts, and switching it off brings them back. LANGUAGES • Auto is now a language choice. The app works out the language as it transcribes, even when one recording mixes languages, and you can keep choosing the language yourself instead. • A single recording can be transcribed in another language without changing your default. • The 25-language model is included with the app, so there is nothing to download. • On iPhone 11, 12, 13 and SE, transcription stays English and Auto is not offered. TRANSCRIPTION • Transcription runs on its own. When you tap Stop you are back in Recordings, the recording transcribes there one at a time, and the words stream in as they are recognised. • It keeps going when you leave the app or lock the phone. If iOS cuts it off, Try Again continues from where it stopped. • Long recordings and imports transcribe faster, and two-hour files finish. RECORDINGS • Every recording has a name, taken from your rename, the imported file or the transcript's opening words, and search finds it. • If you turn it on in Settings, a recording without words is named after the place where you made it. • The player draws a waveform from the recording's own audio. Drag to seek, and keep holding for 10-minute precision in long recordings. • The list is simpler, with the words, the date and the progress while a recording transcribes. LOCK SCREEN, DYNAMIC ISLAND AND WIDGETS • You can pause and resume from the Lock Screen card, and a paused card says Open to Resume. • Stop on the card saves the recording even after the app was swiped away. • The Home Screen widgets have a Record button, and their glow follows your voice while recording. They read well on Tinted and Clear Home Screens. • The card no longer shows Paused while a locked recording is still running, and the recording timer counts recorded audio rather than time spent paused. PRIVACY • All analytics and telemetry are gone, and so is the consent prompt. The app collects no data, and its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. FIXES • Opening audio files from Files works again, sharing a transcript to Telegram and other apps includes the text, and Send Feedback opens an email to support. • Buttons in dialogs share one height, and Retranscribe keeps its language panel in view.
