• When sound is not getting through, Plio says so, instead of silently moving from track to track. • If the trouble is on our side, the app shows a notice about it, rather than letting you think your own setup broke.

• Search now finds artists themselves, not only songs with that word in the title. • A device can be renamed, and a set-top box can be added right from the Mac with the code on its screen. • A heart you tap without a connection no longer disappears: it reaches your account as soon as you are back online. • A log appeared in Profile, so there is something to show support when things go wrong. • After an update the app briefly says what is new.

• Search finds tracks by name: type a word from the song, the artist or the album and it comes up, cover and all. Until now only albums and playlists were searched by name. • Share a track, an album or a playlist: copy or send the link, and anyone without Plio is shown the app in the App Store. • A shared album, playlist or track opens Plio right on that page instead of the browser. • The app no longer says it did not understand you when it did find something.

• Volume for an external speaker: when music plays on an AirPlay or Bluetooth speaker, the slider in Plio now sets the speaker's own volume, not just the app's. • When macOS sends audio to a speaker past the app, Plio replaces the slider that cannot help with the output name and opens the device panel in one click. • Highlighting no longer sticks: scrolling a list leaves no play buttons behind on rows the pointer has left.

• Plio now tells you when a newer version is out and opens the App Store — it does the installing. • Signing in with a code is tidier: the hint points where the button really is, and your Mac shows up as a computer in your device list. • Polished the small stuff, made it faster, fixed bugs.

• No password on your Mac any more. We show a code and a QR, your phone confirms it's really you. Your fingers get the evening off. • Lost the connection? Your albums and playlists aren't going anywhere. We'll say what happened, and the moment the network is back, everything refreshes on its own. • Covers now wear their style and mood — “Deep House”, “Calm”. Finding the right album or playlist is a glance, not a hunt. Saved items carry a heart, and the play button has moved to the middle of the cover. • Polished the small stuff, made it faster, fixed bugs. Some of them you never noticed — that was the plan.
