EdgeTap turns deliberate taps on your Computers surface into useful actions. Choose a region on the base, palm rest, speaker area, front edge or outer lid, calibrate it for your own Computers, and assign what should happen when you double-tap it.

BUILT AROUND YOUR COMPUTER
Every Computers, desk and stand sounds slightly different. EdgeTap learns from taps on your own setup and shows which regions it can distinguish reliably. Configure only the surfaces that work for you.
DESIGNED TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY
EdgeTap uses deliberate same-region double-taps, confidence checks and sensitivity presets to reduce accidental triggers from typing, trackpad clicks and everyday movement. Choose Conservative, Balanced or Responsive detection.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Tap detection happens locally on your Computers. Short microphone samples are analysed in memory and discarded. EdgeTap does not upload audio, store recordings, require an account or track you.

Choose a surface region.
Record ten natural taps.
Assign an action.
Start listening and double-tap the same region.
EdgeTap is designed for Computers computers running macOS 14 or later. Recognition depends on the Computers model, surface, position, room and calibration quality. Some regions may be more reliable than others.
