Meet Lumi, a cheerful owl with words to share and stories to tell. Lumi Kids is made for children aged 4 to 12 who speak English at home and want to discover a new language by listening, speaking and playing.
START AT THE RIGHT LEVEL
Lumi flies in, says hello and starts a short, playful placement check in the language your child picks: listen, tap the right picture, say a word. Beginners start with first words; children who already know some start further along, and they can always go back. A grown-up then gets a learning plan made for their child.
TEN LANGUAGES TO LEARN
Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Chinese (Traditional), Portuguese, Arabic or Turkish. Each language has its own complete path with words, phrases, stories and games, so a child can start with one today and try another later.
LISTEN, THEN HAVE A GO
Lumi reads every word, phrase and story aloud with clear, natural pronunciation. Children tap what they hear, say it in their own voice and build sentences from tiles. Topics grow from greetings, animals and colours to food, school and family.
LIVE CONVERSATIONS WITH LUMI
With a parent's permission, children can talk with Lumi in real time. Lumi listens, replies in the new language and helps in English when a child gets stuck. Daily conversation cards, from a day at the zoo to a trip into space, give every session a place to start. Lumi Plus includes 10 minutes of live talk every week, so a short chat with Lumi becomes part of the routine.
A JOURNEY OF FOUR LEVELS
Seed, Sprout, Sapling and Tree take a child from first words to short conversations across 72 islands, in step with the Starters, Movers and Flyers levels (pre-A1 to A2). Every island ends with stars; every level ends with a short level test and a certificate to keep. The first two levels, Seed and Sprout (24 islands), are completely free.
BIG KIDS WELCOME
Children aged 10 to 12 get talk topics of their own with Lumi: school days, hobbies and sports, travel, food and more.
PLAY AND BUILD A HOME
Words come back in Balloon Pop, Catch! and Jigsaw. Stars earned on the journey buy furniture and toys for the child's own house, with a bedroom, a playroom and a garden to decorate and a treasure hunt that asks for objects in the new language.

START FREE, GROW WITH LUMI PLUS
The first two levels, Seed and Sprout (24 islands), are free in every language, with a minute of live talk to try. Lumi Plus opens Sapling and Tree and adds 10 minutes of live conversation every week, renewing each Monday. Choose monthly or yearly; the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, and you can ask for a reminder two days before it ends. One-time minute packs add extra talk time that never expires.
Lumi Plus is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID and renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account settings.
