Draw a line, and the oil flows down it. One finger, one gesture. Where you want the oil to end up is what makes the four ways to play.
- Machine
A puzzle of contraptions: land the oil in the vessels. Toppling boards, tipping buckets, cups that overflow, pulleys, lifts, a big wheel. Draw lines to drive the machine and deliver as many drops as the stage asks for. Slipping past the machine still clears it; sending the drops through it earns the star. 125 stages.
- Time
A puzzle where rushing loses. You have to reach the goal slower than the target time. Send the oil the long way round, make it bounce, let it linger. Designing that path is the puzzle. 260 stages.
- Music
Oil traces your lines and notes ring out. The longer the line, the higher the note. You design lines so the oil plays a given melody, with duets and stages that layer a front and a back. Choose from 21 instruments.
- Make
Workshop
Build a machine of your own. Place the vessel, the ledges and twelve kinds of parts, then decide how many drops fall and how many must land. You can try your own line right there to see that it can be solved.
Garden
A board with no goal and no timer, made for watching. Place the gimmicks you have earned, draw a line, and the oil keeps flowing forever. Background, oil look and falling pace are saved per garden, so each one becomes its own scene.
Compose
Place notes to write a tune and play it as a stage. Export what you write as a code and share it.
- Something to collect
Watch the oil in Garden or timer mode and now and then a drop falls wearing a look you have never seen. Gems, neon, sea creatures, planets, fruit and more, 71 in all. Each family also unlocks scenery, 13 backgrounds in total. The bear, the cat, the chick - your Friends join you one by one, at each milestone of Machine.
