What Gist does not do: it does not reproduce article text — summaries are short neutral paraphrase, and the source name and outbound link are always shown so credit goes to the original outlet. It does not ask you to log in. News is US-region for now. Supported by non-intrusive ads.
Privacy: Gist has no account system. Your bookmarks, read history, sections, theme, streak and quiz progress are stored only on your device. Card images load directly from the news outlets' own servers, so those outlets may see your device's IP address when an image loads — standard for any app that shows web images.
