Signing up is shorter, and it speaks your language. The residence card step used to carry three screens' worth of instructions on one. Now it is your card and one button — and the moment you take the photo, a short animation shows you exactly what to cover and why. All of signing up follows your phone's language: English, 日本語, 中文. Voice rooms are here. Open a room and talk out loud — up to five people on the stage, fifty listening. Ask the host for a place and they decide who speaks. Nothing said in a room is recorded, ever. The feed shows the conversation now, not only the post. When a post has two or more comments, the one people liked most sits underneath it, joined by a line up to the post it answers. Tap either half to open the whole thread. A post with one comment, or none, looks exactly as it did. There is also a strip at the top of Explore and Messages about another app we made. Tap the cross on it and it will not come back. Everything else is where you left it.

Profiles hold four photographs now, instead of one. Add them under Edit profile. Tap an empty slot to choose a picture, or a filled one to replace it, remove it, or make it your main photograph. Touch and hold any of them to carry it somewhere else in the row — the first is the one that appears beside your name in the feed, in messages and in search. On somebody's profile, swipe the picture to see the rest of theirs. Everything else is where you left it.

Simplified Chinese The entire app now speaks 简体中文 — every screen, every notification, every email we send you. Chinese joins English and 日本語, and HereKorea follows whatever language your phone is already set to. Sharper photographs Pictures in the feed and portraits on profiles were being downloaded at a fraction of the size they were drawn at, and stretched to fill the gap. They now arrive at the resolution they are actually shown at.
