• The Ride screen is a map now: load a route and it fills the screen, with the numbers on a sheet you drag up for the rest. • See when you will get there — a finishing time that counts the climbing left, not just the distance. The app has told the people following your ride this all along; now it tells you. • What is coming up: the next climb with its length and gradient, the next stop, and how far to the end. • Drag along the elevation graph to read any point on the route, and see where it is on the map. • Send a route to your bike computer straight from the Ride screen, with the transfer's progress in the button you pressed. • Plan a group ride now and ride it later: share the link, see who says yes, and the ride starts itself when the first rider sets off. • Your ride on the iPhone Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — time, distance and climb, with a Stop button on iOS 17 and later. • The ongoing Android notification says what is actually happening: recording, paused, auto-paused, sharing or simply connected, with your ride's figures, in your language. It used to claim a ride was active whenever your bike computer was merely paired. • Tapping the version number no longer closes the app out of nowhere. A waiting update gets its own band that says which kind it is — and that installing it closes BikeOtter, so you know to open it again. • Sending a route to an ELEMNT BOLT 2 works again. • Go live on its own when your ride starts, and tell your default group. • A ride your head unit recorded replaces the phone's copy of the same ride, instead of both sitting in your history. • The finished-ride notification arrives when the ride ends, not twenty seconds later. • The arrival note and the nearly-there heads-up are separate switches now. • Surface colours are explained in the route's detail view, and drawn as solid stretches rather than dashes.

• Take a route offline — its map, its terrain and its stops — and everything keeps working with no signal. Plus, two free to try. • A downloaded route reroutes offline too: a detour and the way back both plan on the phone. • Rain radar under your route, on the route's own timeline — drag the climb profile to see the rain where you'll be. Plus. • See the surface before you ride: paved, gravel and rough, on the route line and the climb. • Open-ended "where to?" planning still needs a connection; offline covers the corridor around the route you are already on. The rain is two hours measured and four hours forecast, drawn under the route line so the plan is never hidden by the weather, and the two halves are labelled apart so a forecast never reads as a measurement. • If you leave the route, the app notices — and offers the way back. Once you have been off the line long enough that a cycle path or a café stop cannot have caused it, the route card says so, and one tap previews a leg back onto the route ahead of where you left it: what it costs, what it cuts out, and which stops go with it. Accept and it goes to your head unit. • Planning a route is now a map you can actually see. Full-screen map with the figures on a sheet you can drag, and under six stops there is no "calculate" button at all — the line, the distance, the climb and the time follow you as you edit. • Every leg tells you what it costs, "back to start" is a row at the foot of your list of stops, and a finished route is named after where it goes rather than "Planned route". • Routes stay editable. The stops a route was planned from travel with it, so you can reopen any route and move, add or remove them. • Set a target heart-rate zone per stretch of the ride — easy to km 20, the climb at threshold — and your ELEMNT announces the new target as you ride into each one. • Drink and eat reminders can go by distance now: every 5 km rather than every 20 minutes. • When the wind is against you the whole way out, the plan card says so and offers to turn the route around. • Your group-mates now appear on the ELEMNT's own map during a live ride, not just in the app — labelled with their initials, and only once they are far enough away to be worth finding. On the ROAM and BOLT V1 and V2; the newest units accept them but do not draw them. • The map itself has grown terrain: shaded relief and elevation contour lines, worldwide. • Heart-rate zones reach your ELEMNT again, and reading them back off the unit works. • A ride that stopped downloading part-way now picks up where it left off instead of starting over. • On iPhone: importing a GPX or FIT file opens the file picker instead of failing, the app no longer asks for Bluetooth before you have even started, and the swipe-back gesture works on full-screen maps again.
