You get an identification, a period, an honest opinion on whether it looks genuine, an assessment of condition, and a value range with the reasoning behind it.

• The maker's mark, read and explained, with the transcription so you can check it against the piece in your hand

IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT DOES NOT KNOW
Most of the value in an appraisal is knowing how much to trust it. Trove says when the photographs were not good enough, when a mark is unreadable, when a piece could be a later reproduction rather than the real thing, and when the honest answer is that it cannot tell. It shows the evidence it used, so you can disagree with it.

SUBSCRIPTION
Trove is a subscription app. App require a paid subscription (weekly or annual; a free trial is available for new subscribers). The price is shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account settings.
