Frostbore
How close can you stop?

Hold to plunge a brass borer down a frozen shaft. Release to brake before the black obsidian band bites. Stop one slab short for a CLUTCH. How close can you stop?
Hold to plunge. Release to stop. How close do you dare?
Frostbore puts one brass borer at the top of a frozen shaft and gives you exactly one control: your thumb. Hold it down and the machine spools up and pulverises ice strata, shards spraying, the shaft walls blurring past. Lift it and the borer brakes, squashes, and parks.
Somewhere below, a band of black obsidian is coming. It is always visible. It is always countable. And it will break your borer if you touch it for more than a heartbeat.
So the whole game is one question, asked again and again, faster and faster: how many slabs of ice do you leave between yourself and the black?
STOP ONE SLAB SHORT — CLUTCH
Park with a single stratum to spare and the screen stamps CLUTCH in brass, your score multiplies by your heat, and a crust of rime creeps further up the borer's hull. Stop two or three short and you are CLEAN — safe, competent, streak intact. Bail out early and you are TIMID: you keep your life and lose your heat. Park right on the band and you GRAZE — survivable, but it costs you half your streak.
Four outcomes, no timing window to memorise. Just a distance you choose, and a machine that grades it honestly.
BUILT FOR GREED
Heat climbs every time you cut it fine, and every point you score is multiplied by it. The shaft gets faster. The bands come closer together. The safe stop and the greedy stop drift further apart until holding one frame too long is the only mistake left to make — and you will make it, because 8x is right there.
FAIR BY DESIGN
- The obsidian is visible for its entire approach. Nothing is sprung on you.
- No randomness decides your run. Where a band is placed is random; whether you clear it is entirely when you let go.
- A release one frame late costs heat, not the run.
- The bit grinds and screams for a moment before it breaks. Contact is a warning, not a verdict.
REAL 3D
Lit ice prisms, a brass machine that never moves on screen while the world rushes past it, and twenty-four shards when it finally comes apart — with a camera that refuses to flinch.
NO ADS. NOT ONE.
Frostbore has no ad SDK, no tracking, and nothing to buy with real money. Borer tints are earned by playing, with coins from your runs and a free daily chest — and they are pure vanity. A cosmetic can never buy you an edge.
