GRE Ready
GRETest prep, post-2023 format
$19.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
226 original questions, 21 in-depth lessons, and four full-length practice tests you can take back to back without seeing a repeat. Every answer explained in full.
GRE Ready is a complete GRE General Test study app built around one idea: a practice question is only worth as much as the explanation that comes with it.
Every one of the 226 questions here carries a written explanation that tells you why the credited answer is right, why each wrong answer is attractive, and what the item is actually testing — so a missed question turns into something you can use.
FOUR FULL-LENGTH PRACTICE TESTS
The simulator mirrors the current GRE General Test: two Verbal Reasoning sections (12 questions in 18 minutes, then 15 in 23) and two Quantitative Reasoning sections (12 in 21 minutes, then 15 in 26). The question bank is large enough to run four complete tests back to back without repeating a single item, so a second sitting is a real retest rather than a memory check.
WHAT IS IN THE BANK
- Text Completion — 34 items, one, two and three blanks
- Sentence Equivalence — 30 items
- Reading Comprehension — 27 items across six full passages
- Argument analysis — 18 items
- Quantitative Comparison — 22 items
- Arithmetic — 23 items
- Algebra — 23 items
- Geometry — 21 items
- Data Analysis — 20 items
- Analytical Writing — 8 prompts and planning exercises
Multiple choice, select-all-that-apply and numeric entry are all supported, with the numeric entry rules the real test uses — fractions and decimals both accepted where appropriate.
21 LESSONS, NOT SUMMARIES
Nearly 9,000 words of instruction covering both measures: how a Text Completion sentence defines its own blank, why the four Quantitative Comparison choices never change and when the fourth is impossible, the three Reading Comprehension formats and what each rewards, number properties worth automating, coordinate geometry and solids, the statistics the GRE actually tests, and a 30-minute template for the Analyze an Issue essay. Each lesson opens straight into practice on the same material.
SIX REFERENCE SHEETS
Test structure and scoring · GRE math facts to memorize · numeric entry rules · verbal signal words and question-type cues · Quantitative Comparison decision rules · percent, average and probability traps.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Every answer explanation now shows in full on the results screen. A character limit was cutting 126 of the 226 explanations off mid-sentence in the end-of-session review — the one screen whose whole job is explaining the answer. Removed.
- The answer sheet no longer sits under the home indicator on newer iPhones.
- Spelling corrected throughout questions, lessons and reference sheets.
- Housekeeping: privacy manifest trimmed to what the app actually uses. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no network requests — unchanged.
