Record a meeting or interview on iPhone. précis transcribes it live, names the speakers from their own introductions, and writes the summary the moment you stop. précis turns a conversation into notes you can actually use. précis requires a paid subscription. A précis Pro subscription is required to record, import or analyse anything in the app. A 7-day free trial is included; after the trial it is $14.99 per month or $119.99 per year. Start a recording and the transcript builds while people are still talking. Stop it, and within moments you have a summary, the key points, the action items with owners attached, and a full transcript with each speaker named from the way they introduced themselves. WHAT IT DOES Live transcription. The transcript updates roughly every 25 seconds while you record. Pause and resume whenever you need to. The précis. When you stop, the session is analyzed as a whole: a short overview, the points that mattered, and the commitments people made. Nothing to trigger and nothing to wait around for. Named speakers. The diarized transcript labels who said what, using names taken from the conversation itself rather than "Speaker 1" and "Speaker 2". Action items in one place. Every commitment from every session collects into a single list, grouped by the meeting it came from. Tick them off wherever you are. Ask your library. Ask a plain-language question across everything you have recorded — "what did the supplier quote for cabinets?" — and get an answer drawn only from your own transcripts, with the sessions it came from. Interview mode. Paste the job description before you start. While you talk, précis tracks what the conversation has not covered yet and suggests the question you are missing. When you stop, it files a full requirement-coverage report. Calendar aware. précis can match a recording to the meeting happening right now, prefilling the title and using the attendee list to help name speakers. It never writes anything to your calendar. Syncs with your Mac. Sessions, transcripts and action items move between your devices through your own iCloud account. ABOUT YOUR RECORDINGS The audio is temporary. Once a session's transcript is saved, the recording is deleted from the device — précis keeps the notes, not the conversation. You are responsible for getting appropriate consent from everyone before you record. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, and some require all parties to agree. SUBSCRIPTION A précis Pro subscription is required to use the app: it unlocks recording, importing and analysis, and without it no session can be recorded or analysed. Start with a free 7-day trial, then $14.99 per month or $119.99 per year. Transcription and analysis run through précis's own server, so you do not need accounts with any AI provider. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings on your device after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
