Word Tiles is a calm, friendly matching game for children who are learning to read.
Tap two tiles showing the same word and they lift off the board. The word appears big in the middle and is read aloud — so every match is a tiny reading lesson. See it, hear it, say it.
MADE FOR EARLY READERS • Easy sticks to three-letter words — cat, sun, bus, egg • Medium and Tricky open up to four letters • Words Only mode draws on the short-vowel families children actually practise — -at, -ig, -op, -ug — plus colours, numbers and everyday verbs • Every matched word is spoken clearly, at a slow and patient pace
THREE WAYS TO PLAY • Words + Pictures — the word with a picture below it, for children matching meaning to print • Words Only — reading practice, with no picture to lean on • Pictures Only — for the youngest players, before letters mean anything. Match the pictures, hear the word
NOBODY GETS STUCK • Every board is dealt so it can always be finished • Hint highlights a matching pair and stays put until the next tap — no rush, no timer • Mix reshuffles the remaining tiles, and keeps the board solvable • If a board runs dry, a friendly nudge appears instead of a dead end
