Lock-screen tracking is here. Start a session — or navigate to a trailhead — and your distance, elapsed time and pace stay on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. No more unlocking your phone mid-hike to see how far you've gone. Navigation now records your walk. Following a trail or heading to a trailhead tracks distance and time in the background, keeps working with the screen locked, and offers to save the hike to your Training Log when you finish. Many more trails. Trails Near Me now finds far more of what's actually out there, including unnamed and unofficial routes that were previously invisible to the app. Know the climb before you go. Trails show an elevation profile with total ascent and descent, and an estimated walking time. Trails offline. Save trails for offline use alongside your downloaded maps, so they're there when the signal isn't.
