Turn distracting apps into a review of up to three big goals, why each matters, and today's action. Continue only after a five-second hold.
Turn a distracted tap into a goal-review ritual.
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, whatever steals your hours: Goal Lock pauses the apps you select and puts what you want back in view. This is deliberate friction, not an unavoidable lockout.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick the app that steals your hours and say how many hours a day. Goal Lock does the math. At 4 to 6 hours a day, that is 76 days a year.
2. Name a big goal, why it matters to you, and one repeatable daily action that moves it forward. Keep up to three goals, so the review stays readable.
3. Meet the gate. See your goal roster, then the focused goal's why and daily action. Do the action now, ask again in ten minutes, or hold for five seconds to continue consciously.
THE PAUSE
Goal Lock uses Apple's Screen Time framework, the same one parental controls use, running only for you. While you have an active goal, the apps you select stay gated. On iOS 26.5 and later, a selected app's pause screen can send you to Goal Lock for the review. A five-second conscious continuation starts a native session of at least 15 minutes; then the shield returns automatically. Completing today's action records progress but does not permanently lift the shields. Apple does not reveal the originating app, so the native route returns to Goal Lock Home; the optional Shortcuts route can open the app you selected. Earlier iOS versions use that guided Shortcuts automation. Settings also has a one-tap "Turn off app gates".
THE RECORD
Every action done and every turn-back is counted. Watch the days you chose your goal over the scroll become the score of your year.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
No account. Your goals, emotional reasons, and daily actions never leave your phone. Pseudonymous usage stats help improve Goal Lock and are not used for cross-app tracking.
THE PRICE
Goal Lock is paid because it works for you, not for advertisers. Yearly $49.99 with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, monthly $19.99, weekly $7.99, or lifetime $99.99 once (USD). Exact prices and renewal dates are shown before you pay. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Turn a distracting app open into a five-second goal-review ritual. Set a big goal, say why it matters, and choose one daily action. Keep up to three goals. The gate brings them back before you consciously continue. A DeviceActivity monitor re-arms the shield automatically after each native session, whose minimum is 15 minutes. Completing an action records progress without permanently disabling gates. Screen Time permission still comes only after you have seen the flow, and every plan is shown up front.
