When you plan a trip, the first thing you do is ask friends. Where did you stay, what is worth seeing, the tip that is in no guidebook. Been There Done That turns exactly that into an app.
How it works
Open a circle of real friends: the poker crowd, the people from work, your family. Invite them with a short code. Everyone adds recommendations for places they have been, and searches a destination to see what their own friends wrote about it.
What is different here
You see recommendations only from circles you belong to. Not friends of friends, not strangers, and no algorithm deciding for you. The name of the person who recommended it sits at the top of every card, before the content, because that is what makes a recommendation worth anything.
What is deliberately missing
No ratings and no stars. A friend does not get a score for a recommendation.
No leaderboard, no points, no competition.
No ads, and your data is never sold.
Nothing written by people you do not know.
On the trip itself
Save recommendations and get a tidy bundle for each destination, for example My Budapest, and mark what you have already visited. Instead of scrolling through everything again once you are there, you open the short list you chose in advance.
The app speaks Hebrew and English, and it runs on a computer too at btdt.pro, with the same account and the same circles.

- If the app hits a problem while it is starting up, it no longer closes without a word. You get a screen that says what happened, with a line you can copy and send us.
