Your first line is free. Choose a thread and read its opening line before you decide anything. Each thread now begins with a line chosen by hand. New voices in the library: Rumi, Tennyson, Yeats, Frost, and more of Sappho, each line verified word for word against the original book. The widget turns at midnight. Once you've read today's line, your home screen shows whose line is waiting tomorrow. Small fixes and improvements throughout.

A widget for your home screen and lock screen: it tells you whose line is waiting today. Saudade now speaks Português. The quotes stay in English, exactly as they were verified. Every plan now begins with seven days free. If you were here before this update, nothing changes for you until October 31, 2027 — Saudade stays free for you, as it is now. Your book stays yours either way — readable and exportable whether or not you subscribe.

A proper beginning. The first time you open Saudade, it now shows you what it is — the daily line, choosing what you're sitting with, keeping the ones that stay, and the volume your week's writing binds into. 139 new lines. The library grew to 730, all public domain and checked word for word against the original texts. Among the new voices: Petrarch, and Madame de Sévigné, whose letters spent twenty years on the ache of a daughter who moved away. Small repairs throughout.
