Speak a thought, keep the audio, and get a searchable transcript, a short summary, and next steps. Private by default. Works in English and French. Pensées turns spoken thoughts into useful notes. Record an idea, reminder, plan, or brain dump. The app keeps the original recording on your iPhone and turns it into a searchable transcript, concise summary, key points, and possible next steps. Works in English and French: speech is transcribed in either language. The app itself is in English. Built for quick capture: • Record, pause, resume, and save • Read a clean transcript • Scan a short summary and key points • Check off possible next steps • Search and star important notes • Play or share the original audio Private by default: Your notes stay in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. Transcription normally runs locally with open-source Whisper. Enhanced AI processing is optional and off by default. If you enable it, transcript text, not audio, is sent through our protected service to OpenAI for improved summaries, Topic organization, and Topic Briefs. If it is unavailable, the locally processed note remains ready and usable. No account is required. No ads. Free and Pensées Plus: Every month includes 30 free transcription minutes. Pensées Plus removes the limit for $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings. Important: Automated transcripts and summaries can be wrong. Review important details against the original recording. Follow applicable consent laws before recording other people.
