Staff inspect terminals from their phone: six checks, photo evidence, works offline. Every inspection lands in an audit trail your assessor can read. SkimGuard Business is the handheld app for teams that inspect payment terminals — fuel pumps, ATMs, checkout lanes, and bar or venue card readers. Staff sign in with your business code and their own PIN. The app shows what's due, worst first, and walks them through the inspection. Everything they record lands in your logbook with a full audit trail. THE INSPECTION Six physical checks on every terminal, in the same order every time: seals, labels, serial, casing, wiring, overlay. A terminal only passes when all six pass. A clean pass is one tap. Anything else opens the full record flow, with a mandatory reason for any deviation. WORKS OFFLINE Basements, forecourts, back rooms — coverage is where terminals are. Inspections are queued on the device and sync when the connection comes back, stamped with the time they were actually captured. A partial round is safe: only the terminals your inspector visited are recorded, and the rest stay due. PHOTO EVIDENCE Capture close-up and situational photos as part of the record. Faces are blurred on the device before the image is ever written to disk. An optional reference shot of each terminal appears as a translucent framing overlay, so today's photo lines up with the one taken last month. Every photo is attested by the person who took it. SKIMMER SCANNING The same wireless scans that powers the SkimGuard consumer app runs here, so an inspection captures a radio picture of the site alongside the physical checks. YOUR TERMINALS, ON A MAP See every deployed terminal with its due state, build a route by tapping the ones you want, and work them in order. Terminals without a position still appear in the list and are fully inspectable. STAFF AND TRAINING Add staff to a roster from the web portal and give each one a temporary PIN they change on first use. Roles decide what each person can do — managers manage inventory, technicians deploy and move devices, everyone can record an inspection. Terminal-security training modules are built in, in 22 languages, with a record of who completed what and when. BUILT FOR A SHARED PHONE Most sites run one device across a shift. The app re-locks after an idle window you set, resumes with a biometric, and always offers a one-tap log-off to hand it to the next person. THIRD-PARTY INSPECTORS If an outside inspection organisation covers your sites, their technicians sign in against their own organisation and see only the jobs assigned to them. On your side, you see who is coming and when — the named inspector and the visit window, nothing more. WHAT YOU NEED An active SkimGuard business subscription. Staff sign in with credentials issued by their employer; there is no self-serve sign-up in the app. Bluetooth and location permissions are used for scanning and for recording where an inspection took place. WHAT THIS IS NOT SkimGuard is decision support, not a guarantee. The logbook helps you document and evidence inspection activity under PCI DSS 9.5.1.x — it does not make an organisation compliant, and SkimGuard is not a Qualified Security Assessor.
