Subscribe to the sites you actually want to read. When the TV goes idle, Marquee fades into an ambient headline screensaver — your feeds drifting past the way a departures board does, with the time, the source, and as much or as little detail as you like. Sit down, press a button, and read the whole article on the big screen.

Typing a URL with a remote is miserable, so don't. Reading something good in Safari on your phone or Mac? Tap Share, choose Marquee Reader, and you're subscribed — it finds the feed behind the page, so there's no feed address to hunt for and nothing to paste. The new feed is on your Apple TV seconds later.

BUILT TO BE A GOOD CITIZEN
Marquee identifies itself honestly to every site it fetches, checks feeds about once an hour rather than hammering them, backs off when a server asks it to, and honours the quiet hours publishers declare. Small courtesies, but they are why independent sites can afford to keep publishing feeds at all.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
Marquee Reader contacts exactly two things: the feeds you chose, and your own iCloud. There are no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no account to create. Your subscriptions and starred articles sync privately through your own iCloud account, where the developer cannot see them.
ACCESSIBILITY
Full VoiceOver support, Reduce Motion, and non-English feeds are read aloud in the right voice. Text size applies across the whole app, not just the reader.
