ComposePocket is a songwriting tool for sketching song ideas quickly.
A big canvas and keyboard control make it comfortable to work in.
[ Build songs from parts ]
- Create parts like Verse, Chorus, and Inst, then arrange the whole song by order and repeats.
- Place the same part in multiple spots (shared) and set how many times it repeats.
- Duplicate a measure to extend similar sections fast.
[ Notes, chords, and lyrics ]
- Enter notes and chords in a note sequencer (major, minor, 7th, sus, and more).
- Attach lyrics syllable by syllable; they appear under the notes on the staff.
[ Tempo and groove ]
- Set tempo (BPM) per song, per part, or per measure. Parts inherit the song default unless you override.
- Give each part beat accents (strong, normal, weak) and swing to change the feel. This is applied to MIDI export too.
- Dial in tempo with a stepper or tap tempo, and toggle a metronome click during playback.
[ Hear it and see it ]
- Play a part, a measure, or the whole song with an SF2 soundfont; the view follows the playhead.
- Click a measure to move the play position, and use the space bar to play or pause.
- View native staff notation with key signatures, part sections, tempo marks, and bar numbers every 5 measures.
- Zoom the staff and resize chord text.
[ Export and back up ]
- Export MusicXML, MIDI, or a printable PDF and save it straight where you want it.
- Import external MusicXML or MIDI files as new songs.
- Back up and restore songs losslessly with ComposePocket (.ccp) files.

Notes that cross a barline are now drawn properly - they tie into the next measure, and the sequencer bar carries across too, including where one part ends and the next begins.
Lyrics moved down so note stems no longer hide them.
The chord text size control now scales lyrics as well.
