Six classic treks fully open, from the Ardennes to the Scottish Highlands: booking windows, sourced safety briefs, measured terrain. Seventeen more routes opening soon.
Treksup is the planning half of a big walk: the evenings of research between "I want to hike the Tour du Mont Blanc" and actually standing in Les Houches.
SIX ROUTES OPEN IN FULL, FIFTEEN MORE ON THE WAY
Scotland's West Highland Way, the Escapardenne Eislek Trail an hour from Brussels, Luxembourg's Mullerthal Trail, the Adlerweg's first hut nights under the Wilder Kaiser, Sweden's Jamtland triangle and Portugal's Fishermen's Trail - open in full, every stage, hut, water point, plan and packing list. The rest of the library - Tour du Mont Blanc, GR20, Alta Via 1, Kungsleden, Iceland's Laugavegur and more - is researched, visible in the app today, and opens route by route. Every safety claim is traceable to a published source. Where nothing reliable is known, Treksup says so instead of guessing. That honesty is the product.
KNOW WHEN TO BOOK, AND HOW
Refuges on the famous routes fill months ahead, and every route works differently. Name your month and Treksup shows the timeline: when reservations open, when beds usually run out, which channels take the booking. Then it walks you through booking it, step by step.
KNOW WHAT THE TRAIL IS LIKE NOW
Every route's official sources are read every week: closures, hut seasons and warnings, each with the date it was read and what to do about it.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE WALKING ON
Surface composition measured from OpenStreetMap: how much of the route is paved, gravel, earth path, rock, sand or boardwalk - and how much nobody has recorded, shown honestly instead of hidden.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CARRYING
A packing list per route with typical weights, split by category, starting from whether you camp or sleep in huts. Footwear advice in the A-to-C sole classes, with the reasons shown so you can disagree.
KNOW WHETHER YOU ARE READY
An honest readiness check built from each route's own risks, food worked out per stage from its distance and climb, water from its hours, and a safety brief written from the trail authorities' own advice. On the routes where escape options are researched, they are listed stage by stage.
WALKERS, IF YOU WANT THEM
Post a day or a whole route, follow people walking what you are planning, and report a hazard you met on the trail so the next walker knows. Optional: every route, plan, packing list and recorded hike works signed out.
WHAT TREKSUP IS NOT
Not a live navigation device, and it never pretends to be. On the trail it shows your position on the stage line without signal, and says plainly that the map background needs a connection. Conditions change: Treksup names the date every fact was checked and tells you what it does not know.
An account is only needed to post. Your plans, packing lists and recorded hikes stay on your phone either way.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Two routes join the library, visible in the app and opening route by route: the Laugavegur in Iceland, four hut days across the highlands, and the Dutch Mountain Trail, four days over the seven summits of Zuid-Limburg, station to station.
Trail conditions, read every week. Each route says what its official sources published and on which date, and what to do about it.
Booking in steps. The booking screen walks you through it in order, from fixing your dates to keeping the confirmations offline.
Food per stage. Energy is worked out from each day's distance and climb, and follows your weight the moment you change it.
Readiness per route. The check asks about the risks each route's own safety brief names, with at least six questions on every route.
More photographs, up to 24 a stage, with the filler left out.
Better on the trail. Camping or huts sits at the top of the packing list, the navigation screen says what keeps working without signal, and the buses, trains and lifts link to their operators, many of them checked.
Settings now shows whether you have the newest version, and fetches it straight away.
