No account. No feed. No upload. Every catch, photo and spot lives on your phone, and you can export the lot to a spreadsheet any time you like, free, forever.
LOG A CATCH IN ABOUT TEN SECONDS
Species, length, girth, weight, bait, method, released or kept, notes and a photo. TrueCatch quietly saves the weather, the barometer trend, the wind and the moon phase at that exact moment, so months later you can see what was actually happening when the fish were on.
Not sure of the species? Take a photo and TrueCatch suggests what it is, with the visible field marks that separate it from the next candidate. When it is unsure it says so instead of guessing, and one tap corrects it. A catch with no species at all is still a saved catch.
KNOW WHEN TO GO
A conditions score out of 100 for your water, right now, built from the solunar major and minor periods, first and last light, the barometer trend, the wind and the cloud cover. Tap it and every factor is listed with exactly what it contributed, because a number you cannot argue with is a number you cannot trust.
Today's feeding windows are on the home screen with start and finish times, and the next twelve hours are scored hour by hour so you can pick your moment.
THE PATTERNS IN YOUR OWN FISHING
Personal bests by species. A seven day streak. Catches by species, by month, by spot, and by barometer trend, so you find out which conditions genuinely work for you rather than which ones a magazine says should.
TRIPS
Start a trip and every fish you log is grouped under it, with a live timer and a running count. Leave the app, lose signal, or close it entirely and the trip is still there when you come back.
ASK SIRI
Say "log a catch in TrueCatch" and it is recorded with its time and place, hands free.
WHAT IS FREE, FOREVER
Unlimited catches, photos and trips. Your whole history, searchable. Personal bests and the streak. Today's conditions score and feeding windows. CSV and JSON export of everything. Three photo identifications a day and three saved spots.
There is a screen inside the app called What Costs Money that lists all of this in plain language, alongside exactly what Premium adds. It is one tap from the paywall and from Settings, and no account is needed to read it.
WHAT TRUECATCH WILL NOT DO
It will not tell you what is legal to keep. Size limits, closed seasons, bag limits and licences vary by water and change without notice, so TrueCatch stays out of it and you check your local rules. It carries no adverts in either tier, no public feed, no spot sharing and no sign in.
Built for anglers in fresh water and salt, with a species reference covering the sport fish of North America, Northern and Western Europe and Japan, and full support for sixteen languages. Lengths in centimetres or inches, weights in kilograms or pounds and ounces, set separately, because plenty of us measure in one and weigh in the other.
TRUECATCH PREMIUM
Premium removes the daily cap on photo identification and unlocks the full season insights, unlimited saved spots and the seven day feeding forecast.
Premium is available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
