For a C shape, three taps is now enough to get a name - Muted strings are drawn faint. They used to look exactly like ringing ones, so there was no way to see which string was dead - Clearing a fret leaves the string open, not muted - that is what lifting your finger does - When nothing matches, the app points at the muted strings Naming holds off until you touch the board, so an untouched fretboard no longer reports a chord you did not play.
