Most food gets thrown out for one boring reason. Somebody bought it, put it in the fridge, and forgot it was there. Chiku is a small dog detective whose entire job is remembering for you.
HOW IT WORKS
"I eat everything so you don't have to!!!" Okay, Chiku, who let you type. Here is how it actually works, by humans:
Name a thing. Pick the day it turns. That is the setup, and it takes about ten seconds. Chiku keeps the list, sorts it soonest first, and once a day at a sensible hour he whispers if something is coming up. Tap what you ate. Tap what you had to let go. No score, no streak, no lecture.
HE LEARNS YOUR NUMBERS, NOT HIS OWN
Chiku never guesses how long food lasts, and he never tells you whether something is safe to eat. He is a calendar, not a food scientist. Your eyes and your nose make that call, always. What he does is remember YOUR answer: give spinach five days once, and the next time spinach comes home the five days are already filled in.

When a few things come due together, Chiku suggests one dinner that uses them, drawn from home kitchens around the world.

Tonight's case, which turns several nearly-due things into one dinner. Case notes, with global ideas for rescuing anything before its date. The daily round, for the things you take every day. The household, for whose leftover is this and who got to it in time. And photos, so you can snap a label or add your dish to the rescue card.
One payment and it is yours for good, or subscribe monthly or yearly if you would rather. Either way it unlocks the same kit, and it funds a nonprofit.

The monthly and annual plans are auto renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation, and each renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. The lifetime kit is one payment, never a subscription.

chiku got better at the quiet parts.
Paying for the detective's kit now finishes properly. If your payment method confirms after you close the app, the kit still lands, and if you already paid you will see it the moment you open chiku.
The log is rebuilt. Every rescue carries its date, months are grouped so a long log has shape, and three honest numbers replace the single score. There is a real empty state now that says what the page is for.
"later today" joins the whisper times, for food you cooked at lunch and want a nudge about at dinner.
Settings has its own place in the bar. The kit explains what you get before it ever mentions a price.
The reminder screens now match the rest of the app, and one button there that looked like plain text is a button again.
