Playfold is a focused music player for people who keep their audio organized in folders. Choose a folder and start listening—no imports, library setup, or extra windows.
Everything stays close at hand in your Mac’s menu bar. View artwork and track details, scrub through a song with the compact seek bar, move to the next or previous track, pause playback, shuffle your queue, or repeat it.
Play a single folder or include its subfolders. Playfold keeps tracks grouped by folder, so albums and collections stay in a natural order.
Work directly from Finder:
• Select a folder and choose Services > Play with Playfold
• Reveal and select the current audio file
• Move the current file to Trash and continue with the next track
Playfold supports AAC, AIFF, CAF, FLAC, M4A, MP3, and WAV files. It displays embedded artwork when available. If a track has no embedded artwork, Playfold looks for a cover image in the same folder.
Designed as a small, native macOS app, Playfold stays out of the Dock and out of your way. Set it to open at login, then keep your music one click away.
