Ever heard a bird singing and wondered what it was? Bird
Song Identifier listens to the sound around you and tells
you which species is singing — all processed privately on
your device, in seconds.
HOW IT WORKS
Tap the microphone button and hold your phone toward the
sound. Our on-device AI model (built on the BirdNET research
project from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology) analyzes a
short audio clip and returns the most likely species, with
a confidence score for each match.

PRIVACY YOU CAN TRUST
Bird Song Identifier does not upload your audio anywhere.
Classification happens entirely on your device. An optional,
free eBird API key can be added to enrich results with
taxonomy data from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's eBird
database; this is entirely optional and the app works fully
without it.
ATTRIBUTION
Bird identification is powered by the BirdNET research model
(Cornell Lab of Ornithology & Chemnitz University of
Technology). Species taxonomy data, when available, is
provided by eBird (Cornell Lab of Ornithology).
