There's a moment when a new city starts to feel like yours. Nageune connects people traveling through Korea, people living here, and the locals who want to meet them.
You don't need to share a language. Profiles, conversations and posts are translated into yours, on your device.
How Nageune works
1. Verify your phone number, then add photos and a bio.
2. Fill in your profile - your journey purpose and charm points.
3. Swipe through cards. Right if you like them, left if you don't.
4. Send a friend invitation. Once accepted, a private conversation opens.
5. Trade tips in the community and travel together.
Recommendations, chosen carefully
- No endless feed. Once the day's cards are done, we show how long until they recharge.
- People near you come first.
- "Taste Twin" cards - chosen by members whose likes overlap with yours - are mixed in.
- Someone who already liked you shows up as a gold "Featured" card.
A different language, the same conversation
- Bios, messages, posts, comments and notifications are translated into your device language automatically.
- In conversations the original and the translation sit side by side.
- Translation runs entirely on your device - conversations are never sent to a server.
- The app is available in Korean, English and Japanese.
Companion - a bond that ends with the trip
- Set your travel dates and city, then send a companion request. It arrives as a boarding-pass invitation, and accepting opens a private note room.
- Attach photos, places and transit routes to a note. Notes written offline send once you reconnect.
- When the trip ends the room closes itself. Save the ones worth keeping as Memories.
Stamps instead of star ratings
- After a trip you answer "Would you travel with this person again?" and leave stamps like Great Manners or Local Expert - the trust behind your next journey.
Community - where the real information is
- Free Talk, Hot Places, Food, K-Beauty, Accommodation, Study Abroad. Posts carry photos, maps, polls - even the bus or subway line to take, as a route card.
- Mark the answers that helped. Browse it all without signing in.
Map - the traces people leave
- The map opens when you pin a place to a post or a note.
- Places members reviewed show up as balloon markers. Naver Maps in Korea, Google Maps abroad.
- Reviews note how spicy a dish is and whether anything is vegetarian. Mood tags say traditional or modern, quiet or lively.
Transit - station names in your language
- Subway stations, bus routes and stops carry official English and Japanese names, stop numbers and line colors. You won't get lost just because you don't read Korean.
Conversations - only with people who accepted
- Members who liked you arrive at the top of your chat tab.
- A conversation opens only after a friend invitation is accepted. Nobody messages you out of nowhere.
- Real-time messages, read receipts, and every incoming message shown with its translation.
Notifications - only what you need
- Comments, replies, mentions, friend invitations, companion notes and matches.
- Toggle matching, community and chat notifications independently.
- Like notifications stay anonymous, arrive bundled, and are translated too.
Built to feel safe
- Phone verification adds a verified mark to your profile.
- Exact coordinates are never shown, only an approximate distance range.
- Report someone and they're blocked automatically, never to appear again. Location spoofing and duplicate accounts are detected.
- Profile photos are graded on your device and never uploaded for review.
- Adults only.
Coins and Mileage
- Signing up earns you welcome Coins. Viewing profiles is always free.
- Mileage accumulates through activity - check-ins, posts, comments, profile completion, matches - and can be exchanged for Coins.
- Coins are used for friend invitations and companion requests.
