It appears on your Home Screen and stays there. No feed. No thread to scroll. Nobody you didn't invite. NoteDove is a Home Screen widget that shows short notes — a line of text, a big emoji, or a photo — from a small set of people you have both agreed to. A note sits there until it is replaced, or until you clear it. HOW IT WORKS • Invite someone. They accept. That is the entire setup — no account, no username, no password. • Send a note. It lands on their Home Screen, usually within seconds. • It stays put until the next one arrives, or until they dismiss it. ONLY THE PEOPLE YOU CHOOSE There is no directory and no discovery. Nobody can find you, add you, or message you out of nowhere. Approval is mutual, and removing someone is instant — enforced by Apple's own sharing system, not by our app code. Muting is separate from removing. Going quiet should not require a confrontation, and neither action tells the other person anything. FOR COUPLES — AND FOR PARENTS "Miss you." "Good luck today." A photo from your afternoon. Also: "Be home by 5." A note on a kid's Home Screen does not get buried under notifications the way a text does. Accounts that iOS reports as under 18 cannot send or receive photos in either direction, and a connection request made by a minor needs a parent or guardian's approval first. PHOTOS ARRIVE BLURRED Every photo, always. No off switch, no detection to fool. The widget only ever receives a deliberately low-resolution version, so the detail is not there to leak. Tap it to open the app and reveal it. A photo the sender marks private needs Face ID or your passcode, can be viewed once, and is deleted afterwards rather than re-locked. While one is open, a screenshot captures nothing. WE CANNOT READ YOUR NOTES That is a fact about how NoteDove is built, not a promise you have to take on trust. Notes are written straight into the recipient's own iCloud, in fields Apple encrypts end to end. There is no server of ours in the middle — there is no server of ours at all. No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. No ads. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected," because nothing is. Even the notifications are built this way. The alert that wakes your phone carries no content — it is only a signal to check. Your device fetches the note and decrypts it locally, then writes the banner itself. The words you write never pass through anyone's notification servers. A banner — and the optional Lock Screen widget — can only tell you who wrote, never what they said.
