Respond translates what people actually mean, so you can say it out loud and be understood. A word-for-word translation turns “Those pants are sick!” into pants that are unwell. Respond reads the whole message first, so slang stays casual, a joke stays a joke, and a compliment stays a compliment. Ask Ondy Ondy is your personal language buddy. Ask in your own words how to say something, what a phrase means, or how to reply, and get the phrase, how to say it, and what it means. You can show Ondy a photo of a sign or a menu too. Talk face to face Chat mode listens, translates and speaks for both of you. Hand the phone over, or let the other person join on their own phone with a code. Know what to say back Responses gives you three replies in their language, each with what it means in yours, so you never send something you can’t read. Choose the tone Casual or polite, tu or vous, plain Japanese or keigo. The choice other translators make for you, silently, is yours. Respond Pro adds Claude and GPT, Ask Ondy, Responses, tone control, the keyboard and 500,000 characters a month. Respond Max adds the advanced Claude and GPT models, a second AI translation to compare, and 750,000 characters a month. Respond is also on Mac and Windows. Privacy No ads and no tracking, and Respond does not store what you translate. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
