MailCode is a desktop mail client for people whose mailbox stopped being an inbox years ago and became an archive. It keeps every message on your own machine, indexes all of it, and answers a search without waiting on a server. And it looks and moves like the editor you already spend your day in: an activity bar, an explorer of accounts and folders, a dense scannable list, monospaced and driven by the keyboard. There is no MailCode account to create, no analytics and no tracking. The AI features are off until you turn them on, and run on a provider key you supply. Try it before signing in: open MailCode without adding an account and it starts in Demo mode — a full sample inbox, with no network access.

• A trial now lasts fourteen days whatever happens to the app's files, and a purchase you have already made is recognised automatically — on a new Mac, or after a reinstall, without having to find Restore Purchases. • If the App Store refuses a purchase, MailCode now says why instead of waiting silently. A purchase that needs approval on another device says so, and a request that gets no answer stops and tells you nothing has been charged. • Deleting imported mail now removes the file it kept on disk. The message used to go while the file stayed, so an archive could take far more space than it reported. Settings ▸ Storage can find and reclaim what earlier versions left behind.
