NEW • Use an AI model on your own Mac. Settings → AI → Local works with Ollama, LM Studio, Jan or llama.cpp running on this computer, and keeps translation on it too, so nothing about your mail goes to a cloud service. Answers appear as they are written, Cancel stops the model, and long threads are read in parts. Light mode keeps the model small and frees it after a few minutes. • Send any attachment as a cloud link, whatever its size, from the attachment's menu in Compose. • Better tables in Compose: borders per cell, drag an edge to resize, Excel-like spacing, and a sum typed before "=" is worked out for you. The message you send keeps the layout. • Signatures follow the language of your draft, and a bilingual translation signs in both languages. • New-mail notifications have their own switches in Settings → Sync. Turn them off, or keep them and hide the sender and subject so nothing about your mail shows on the lock screen. SECURITY • Mail servers on another machine must now encrypt the connection. A server that offers only unencrypted IMAP or SMTP is refused instead of receiving your password. • AI requests use https, or plain http only to a model on your own Mac. • MailCode's window now refuses any script that is not part of the app, and pictures in emails load only over secure connections. • Links in notifications and meeting invitations open only if they are ordinary web links. • The connection between MailCode's window and its mail archive is locked to MailCode itself. • AI provider keys are now stored encrypted in your Keychain, like account passwords. • MailCode now runs with Apple's Hardened Runtime. FIXES • Outlook's Turkish reply and forward prefixes (YNT:, İLT:) now join the conversation like Re: and Fwd:. • An opened message stays put in the reading pane, and the meeting bar no longer disappears when the inbox refreshes. • Importing a Thunderbird profile no longer adds an empty "(no subject)" message for each empty mailbox file. • Translating a PDF contract keeps clauses numbered "§ 2" or "Madde 2" as separate paragraphs. • File ▸ Index EML Files… now works before any mail account is set up. • "Re-file into the PST's folder structure…" works again.

New • Import Apple Mail and Thunderbird mailboxes: exported .mbox mailboxes, Apple Mail's own .emlx library and Thunderbird mbox files each land as a searchable folder. • Open winmail.dat: the files Outlook packed inside appear as ordinary attachments you can view, open or save. • Meeting responses and cancellations show the meeting's time and place. • Checklists in compose: tick items off with a click; recipients see the same boxes. Fixed • Outlook Rich Text messages (.msg, PST, winmail.dat) showed an empty body. • Answering an Exchange invitation made it disappear from the Inbox. • Translate in compose lost the draft's formatting. • The format painter switched off after one click without painting. • Sharing a file from Finder while MailCode was closed opened no new message. • Attachment-name search found nothing in imported mail. • Some archived and .msg messages showed no body or plain text only.

Sketch in compose: Draw inside the message instead of leaving for another app. Pen, lines, arrows, rectangles, circles and text, with select, move, copy, resize and undo. Dimension lines label themselves from a grid scale you set — 1 square = 0.5 m — with radius and diameter on circles. Their ends stick to a shape's corner, midpoint or centre, so moving the shape brings the measurement with it. Type a size into a dimension and the shape resizes to match. The drawing arrives as one sharp picture, copies to the clipboard for any other app, and can be saved as a note that reopens later with every shape still editable. Conversations read the way they happened: Reply chains used to break at every message you had sent yourself, so a conversation you had answered looked like a fork. Your own replies now join the chain where you wrote them, tinted so they stand out, and a message you just sent no longer shows "(no sender)" in Sent Items. Summary, over more than today: Read the summary over yesterday or the last three days as well as today, this week or a date range. Any card opens as a pop-up with the whole conversation; arrow keys step through them, and you can flag, categorise or mark read without leaving. Folder counts read unread / total: Live folders showed unread alone and archived ones the total alone, so the same number meant different things one account apart. Folders you have never opened now show a total too, and accounts you are not looking at refresh quietly in the background. Security: MailCode now verifies mail server certificates. Previously any certificate was accepted, so someone able to intercept your connection could have read your mail. Gmail, Microsoft and any signed-in account always verify and cannot be excused. A server of your own whose certificate does not validate can be allowed for that one account in Settings. Also: Recall works the way Exchange expects, and "Honour recall requests" removes a recalled message you have not read. @mentions work inside the quoted message you are replying to. Clearing the default BCC now actually clears it. IMAP mail could go missing when a sync reply arrived late — nothing is dropped now.

Add your account in one step. A new first screen asks what kind of account you're adding — Microsoft 365, Gmail, Exchange or any other provider — and shows only what that one needs. Gmail signs in with Google; no passwords to create. Gmail labels, everywhere. Labels you add in MailCode appear in Gmail on the web and on your phone, and labels added there appear here, with all of their mail. Meetings that reach people. Invitations from a Gmail or other IMAP account now arrive in your attendees' calendars. Accept, decline or propose a new time on invitations you receive, and drag a meeting to reschedule it: your own meetings notify everyone, and others' send the organizer a proposal. Fixes. Deleting Gmail mail now moves it to the Trash on the server. Moving mail to a folder on IMAP accounts works again. Add Account no longer opens behind Settings, and Escape clears a label filter on the first press.

NEW — Summary: what today brought, and what it wants from you A new view, and the counterpart of Analytics: how much arrived today and how that compares with your own last seven days, who sent it, which conversations moved — and then the mail itself sorted by what it wants from you: needs a reply, waiting on them, invitations, for information, automated. Beside it, your flags, the mail waiting to go out, and today's meetings. Almost all of that sorting is read off the mail on your own Mac; the part that is not stays off unless you supply your own AI key. NEW — Name the file in the sentence that talks about it A letter carrying nine attachments leaves the reader to work out which is which. Type § in the composer — or drag a file's chip into the text — and the file's own name goes into the sentence, with a numbered Attachments list at the foot of the letter if you want one. Take the file off the letter and the reference that named it turns red, heals itself if you attach it again, and asks once before the mail goes out pointing at something it is not carrying. NEW — A line of the message under every row The ≡ chip in the list toolbar puts one or two lines of each message under its row, in every grouping. Settings ▸ Read adds a Read text colour beside the unread one, so read and unread mail can differ by colour alone. NEW — Five palettes, where there were two Dark+ and Light+ changed the ground and nothing else. Settings ▸ Appearance now offers Syntax Dark and Syntax Light, which are what those two were; Quiet Dark and Quiet Light, which draw a message list in one ramp of grey and leave colour to the things that use it to mean something; and Paper, the palette from the website. IMPROVED — The Flags timeline reads like a timeline Every bar carries its own date beside it — "due 8 Sep", "done 2 Sep (2d early)", "due 4 Sep · 3d over" in red — instead of leaving you to count it off the ticks along the top. The work done now sits inside the plan it belongs to, so an overrun visibly pokes out of it. IMPROVED — A sample inbox with a conversation worth the name Open MailCode without adding an account and it starts in Demo mode, on a sample inbox that never touches the network. It now holds conversations of seventeen and sixteen messages, each forking three times, so the reply arcs, the fork marks and the conversation timeline have a real shape to draw before you have connected a mailbox of your own. FIXED — Removing a mailbox removes all of it, and the disk space comes back Mail you had deleted was kept so it could be brought back, and that copy — the message and the full bytes of every attachment on it — outlived the mailbox it belonged to: on one archive 2.06 GB, filed under an account that no longer existed and shown nowhere. Removing a mailbox now takes its Recently Deleted mail with it, hands the space back to the disk as it goes, and says how much it freed. FIXED — Read and unread keep up with Office 365 Mail marked read in MailCode could stay unread in Outlook on the web for minutes or for good, and mail read there took just as long to catch up here. A busy mailbox's refusals no longer spend the few attempts a flip is given, reading through a run of mail travels as one instruction instead of one per message, and MailCode now polls IMAP accounts for flag changes every twelve seconds. FIXED — Open an attachment from a message you opened as a file The window a .eml or .msg opens into now offers View, Open and Download like the reading pane, instead of a single Open that ran the preview — and Open no longer removes the file it just handed to the application. Translation reaches that window too. FIXED — A reply arc across a long conversation looks like one The arc from a message to the one it answers was drawn to the same narrow width however far apart the two rows sat, so across a long thread it came out as a vertical line with a bend in it. The bow now widens with the distance it crosses.

Analytics, Graph sending, big-file links, the compact fix, the folder delete

• A trial now lasts fourteen days whatever happens to the app's files, and a purchase you have already made is recognised automatically — on a new Mac, or after a reinstall, without having to find Restore Purchases. • If the App Store refuses a purchase, MailCode now says why instead of waiting silently. A purchase that needs approval on another device says so, and a request that gets no answer stops and tells you nothing has been charged. • Deleting imported mail now removes the file it kept on disk. The message used to go while the file stayed, so an archive could take far more space than it reported. Settings ▸ Storage can find and reclaim what earlier versions left behind.
