■ Ten seconds that decide the match
Rock, scissors, paper. The skill card you set on the winning hand fires.
Which skill you assign to which hand IS your strategy.
On a draw, both beetles push horns and trade recoil damage that grows with each
consecutive draw, so you have to decide whether to hold or back off.
■ The beetles fight while you choose
During those ten seconds the two lock horns and shove. Front legs scrabble at the
ground, hind legs brace. The build-up is the best part.
■ Collect and raise 20 real species
Hercules beetle, Giraffe stag beetle, Rainbow stag beetle and more.
Each has its scientific name, body length, range and notes in the encyclopedia.
Individuals vary in size, so hunting for a big one is its own reward.
Every species is modelled in 3D, and their horns and jaws move differently.
■ Favoured hands
Each beetle has a hand it is good at. Winning with that hand deals 1.2x damage.
You can see the foe's favoured hand before and during the battle, so you can
read what they are likely to throw.
■ Hard mode, once you are done
Clear every Normal chapter and Hard opens on the same 20 stages.
Enemy levels and skill cards jump; the last foe is a Lv 90 beetle with Lv 20 cards.
Coins and EXP are 2.5x, and first-clear jewels are doubled.
■ Battle someone nearby (iPhone / iPad)
Play against a person on Bluetooth or the same network, right where you are.
If nobody is nearby, you can battle an opponent built on your device instead.
■ Buy once, play forever
No in-app purchases. No ads. No account or sign-up.
Jewels and upgrade materials are earned by playing, and nothing else.
Your save stays on this device and is never sent anywhere.
■ Game Center (optional)
Leaderboards for arena points, stages cleared and species logged, plus 7 achievements.
Signing in is optional; the whole game is playable without it.
