Your days stay on your phone. No coach, no ads — just the time since you stopped, and the few things that help. Day 1 is the day you stopped. nocnt counts the days since your last contact, and then gets out of the way. No coach, no chat, no feed of advice. A number, and the few things that actually help when you are looking at their name at two in the morning. IT KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TEXTING THEM AND LOOKING THEM UP Every app in this category counts contact. But most days you don't text. Most days you check their stories, twice, and feel worse for it. Looking them up is logged as a lurk day. It doesn't reset your count, because it isn't contact. But it shows up on your year, and after a few weeks you can see your own pattern instead of guessing at it. WHEN THE URGE HITS Press one button and the app asks what you want to do, with the cost written next to each answer. Look them up. Text them. Unblock them. Meet them. You see what it does to your count before you do it, not after. And if what you want is to send something, write it here instead. Then burn it. The page catches, the words go, and nothing was sent — which was the whole point. YOUR YEAR, ONE SQUARE A DAY Every day is a square and every column a week. Filled for a clean day, amber for a lurk, red for the day it reset. Nothing disappears when you start over: the days you already did stay on the grid, because you did them. WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Put the counter on your Lock Screen, or the whole year on your Home Screen. Most days you won't need to open anything at all. THE REST • Milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 365 days, and a quiet notification when you reach one • Why I stopped — write the reasons down while you still remember them clearly, and read them back on the night you don't • Two short lists for the first week: what to do about their feed, and what to do about the photos and the thread. Nothing gets deleted here. It goes out of sight. • Your days, your reasons and everything you write stay on this phone. Nothing to sign into, nobody to be. Day 1 is the hardest one. Then it is day 2.

New ways to take your mind off contacting them: smash dishes, follow a breathing exercise, or pop bubble wrap. Find them in the urge screen. We’ve also improved the interface and fixed bugs.
