BodyBook: Mole Tracker
Photo diary for moles & skin
Only for iPhone
Free · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
iPhone
Mark the moles you follow on a body map and shoot them from the same angle every time. A ghost frame holds the angle for you.
Following a mole by eye is hard. Three months later there is no honest answer to "has it changed" — memory is a poor record keeper. BodyBook keeps that record for you.
BODY MAP
You mark every mole you follow on a map: front and back, region by region. Its location is saved, so six months later you are not asking yourself which one it was.
GHOST-FRAME CAMERA
The hard part is not taking the photo. It is taking the second photo from the same angle as the first. When you open the camera, BodyBook overlays the previous frame semi-transparent in the viewfinder. You line the mole up with that ghost, and the two shots become genuinely comparable.
COMPARISON SLIDER
Pick two dates and drag the slider between them. You do not try to remember the change. You see it.
ABCDE SELF-ASSESSMENT
Asymmetry, border, colour, diameter, evolving — five questions, in the same order at every check. The form follows the ABCDE headings published by the American Academy of Dermatology, and the source is shown inside the app. BodyBook produces no score and no conclusion from it: it records your answers and builds a history you can show a doctor.
CHECK REMINDERS
Set a check interval per mole — three months, six months, a year. Your phone reminds you when it is due.
WHAT SITS ALONGSIDE
Mole tracking is what this app is for. Three more modules are there if you want them:
• Skincare routine — define your morning and evening steps once, then tick them off each day. Days completed back to back are counted as a streak.
• My products — the shelf of cosmetics you have opened. Enter the date you opened one and it works out the time left from the PAO symbol on the packaging (6M, 12M), then tells you before it runs out.
• Medication & supplements — dose, duration, times of day, relation to meals. Mark a dose taken straight from the notification; get a warning as the box runs low.
Turn a module off and it disappears from the app entirely.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No account. No server. Your photos live in the app's own container — they are not even added to your photo library — and never leave the device. No ads, no data sales, no tracking. Export everything as a single file whenever you want, or delete all of it in one step.
DESIGN
A "Warm Ink" interface, light and dark themes, a distinct signal colour per module. Seven languages.
—
BodyBook is a self-monitoring and record-keeping app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, does not screen for skin cancer, does not produce risk scores or probabilities, and performs no analysis of your images. Everything it shows is the record you entered. If you notice a change in a mole, see a dermatologist.
